A Waltz Through Houston is as graceful as hoboes
It crawls and it begs and it runs when its hungry
and a Waltz Through Houston gets dreadfully tired
when your A/C stops and your brain's getting wired
A Waltz Through Houston goes like this....

A Waltz Through Houston is colored the same as the side walks and bus stops and gunk on the rail walk
and the buffalo bayou is always there singing as it gurgles and it pops with the trash that its bringing
And A waltz through the Houston wouldn't go fast
or youd think that was a Hobo who just ran off with your cash
A Waltz Through Houston goes like this..

and Thursdays at Avant would have to be mentioned
or theyd break there beer bottles and your keys would go missin
and A waltz through houton isn't a waltz at all
when the punks at Mangoes start breakin' down the walls
But A Waltz Through Houston is dreadfully long
for it plays out all night when the bar crowd is gone
A Waltz Through Houston goes like this...

and just for a bit the waltz suddenly turns Spanish
when the Mexicans from the east end come then they vanish
and A Waltz through Houston gets dreadfully antsy
when the folks from the heights come start getting fancy
It gets played down in Montrose near buckets of coffee
near daisys and artsys and girls that are bossy
A Waltz Through Houston goes like this...

And a Waltz Through Houston goes down to its roots
Lighting Hopkins is there and hes still wearin boots
and Townes Van Zandt sings the main verse
and his veins are getting dirty and his songs are getting worse
Bill hicks takes a solo while Sam's playin polo
Beyoncé even made it, she started playin the oboe
A Waltz Through Houston goes like this...

Hayden Jones Houston, Texas

If you were at a RHB show in 2012 you might have heard a reverby surf rock guitar ,a groovy rhythm section, and vocals might remind you of a mix between Bob Dylan and Jim Morrison. The locals loved it and the band did too. They played well crafted arrangements and took you on a journey with in them. It was hard to resist. The band was tight and Hayden's vocals and guitar playing was unique." ... more
